Communications Strategist I
In this position, the Communications Strategist I will contribute to the strategic direction and execution of Gateway Alliance against Human Trafficking (GAHT)’s Marketing & Communications efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing and implementing a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
- Create, coordinate, and monitor content for GAHT’s social media efforts including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn.
- Search and write content for GAHT’s Social media, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
- Work with internal staff to brainstorm content ideas, in line with GAHT’s strategy and in support of various programs.
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
- Work as a member of the GAHT team in all areas that promote the mission and overall success of the agency.
- Perform all other projects as assigned.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- At least two years of previous training or experience in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other equivalent graphic design platforms preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
E-mail, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, data entry and Google Apps.
