Position Description
We seek a highly organized and creative marketing consultant to join the SVP community relations team. In this role, the primary objective will be to create, develop, and execute tailored marketing strategies to achieve internal goals. The marketing consultant will produce marketing materials within our current platforms (Campaign Monitor, Buffer, and Canva) to assist in ongoing marketing campaigns while internally developing and implementing brand management strategies. In addition, they will also execute strategic tasks and monitor outcomes.
The marketing consultant will prepare necessary reports and identify opportunities to enhance growth. This is a consulting position that works within the community relations team to focus on marketing and fundraising goals. This is an exciting opportunity to offer valuable insights and recommendations to optimize brand visibility and partner engagement. Tasks include managing email communications, social media content management, ensuring effective marketing planning, reporting, designing campaigns, and execution across various platforms.
This role requires proficiency in graphic design, project management tools like Asana, and email marketing platforms such as Campaign Monitor. The marketing consultant will play a crucial role in driving engagement and brand awareness through strategic communication efforts.
Marketing Responsibilities:
*Develop Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the Vice President of Strategic Relationships to develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with increasing SVP Tucson’s Partnership and organizational goals.
*Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing materials, including digital platforms, print materials, and events.
*Digital Marketing: Oversee and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email marketing, and website content management.
*Content Creation: Generate compelling content, including social media posts, press releases, and email blasts to showcase SVP Tucson's impact and initiatives.
*Media Relations: Continue to identify relationships with local media outlets, pitch stories, and secure press coverage to raise awareness of SVP Tucson's work and initiative.
*Event Promotion: Coordinate promotional efforts for SVP Tucson events, including fundraisers, workshops, and community engagement activities.
*Community Engagement: Prepare materials to engage with stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, nonprofit partners, and the broader community, to foster meaningful relationships and support SVP Tucson's mission.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
*Proven experience (3+ years) in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably within the nonprofit sector or a mission-driven organization.
*Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and engage diverse audiences.
*Experience in media relations, including press outreach and securing media coverage.
*Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to develop innovative marketing solutions.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
