AI Engineer Needed to Develop Inventory Management Tasks AI Overview We are seeking a skilled AI engineer to implement a system for managing inventory on a website that does not provide an API. The goal is to emulate user interactions for inventory pricing based on a defined set of rules. We acknowledge that the objective here may be slightly out ahead of what is currently possible. Key Responsibilities The AI engineer will be tasked with developing an AI to: 1. Repricing Existing Inventory: Adjust prices of already listed items by a specified percentage or according to other predefined criteria. 2. Pricing New Inventory: Set prices for items that are newly added to the inventory and have not yet been priced. Project Details Users typically navigate through screens displaying approximately 100 inventory items per page. Each item includes a pricing field where the user manually enters a dollar amount. The AI's role will involve automating this process based on one or more of the following information and criteria: -change existing price based on a user defined percentage of the existing/current price - Availability of pricing data (e.g., retail price, wholesale price, competitive high and low prices). - Current inventory, specifically if the same item is already listed for sale by the user and its price. - Market exclusivity, determining if the user holds a monopoly on the item. - Adjustable weighting of different pricing factors, allowing the AI to make informed pricing decisions. - Ability to implement commands such as adjusting all prices by a certain percentage or repricing items within a specific price range. Additional Automation Opportunities There is potential to expand the AI's capabilities to automate other functions, including: - Managing offers on portfolios for sale. - Requesting items to be returned to the user based on specific criteria. - Real-time monitoring and adjusting of prices based on market dynamics. Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have both a command of current AI models and their capabilities and a strong background in AI and machine learning, with experience in developing systems that can emulate and automate web interactions. Proficiency in handling non-API based web environments is essential. Ask questions to understand scope fully
