We seek design and development of a new website to enhance our online presence and available resources, increase lead collection and conversion, and provide an improved user experience for our customers. We are looking for qualified web development firms or individuals to submit proposals outlining their capabilities, approach, and cost estimates for this project. Project Overview: The objective of this project is to design and develop a website that aligns with our brand identity, builds upon our existing website functionality, and meets the following key requirements: - IT Requirements: The website is to be designed in aspx, not php, preferably a Visual Studio project. It will be hosted internally on a Windows IIS Server. Please note, our current website is custom and not a template. While we are open to templates if it fits within our IT requirements, the site does not currently use WordPress, Drupal, or any other type of framework. - Enhanced User Experience: Create a website that offers an intuitive and engaging user experience, ensuring seamless navigation and interaction for visitors. - Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure the website is fully responsive across various devices and screen sizes to provide a consistent experience for users. - Product Showcase: Revamp the dynamic product pages to better highlight our products with high-quality images, detailed descriptions, visual product options, clear product specifications, downloadable content, and easy-to-use navigation. - Content Management: Implement a user-friendly content management system that enables us to update and manage website content independently. We do have a developer on-premise who will work with you to connect items on the back end of the website. - E-commerce Integration: We are not prepared to go to a full shopping cart/purchasing system at this time, but we’d like to offer a more advanced and automated online quoting and account profile system with options, drop-down menus, and submission capabilities. - SEO Optimization: Implement best practices for on-page SEO to enhance the website's visibility on search engines while maintaining some of the past SEO efforts that have already been established throughout the blogs and other pages. - Marketing Automation: Propose tools and ideas to collect and nurture online leads through clear Calls To Action and effective marketing automation. - Integration with Digital Marketing Efforts: Integrate web design and functionality with current digital and PPC advertising and social media strategies, considering landing pages and other innovative cross-functional ideas. - Project Gallery: Develop an easy-to-view and searchable gallery of past projects and products to better showcase our line of work and onsite photography. - Sustainability Story: Include a better representation of the sustainability story of our company and products throughout the website. - Website Ownership, Hosting, and Maintenance: We are only looking for the design and development of a new website, not ongoing management. Our firm, Marble Computer, is seeking a Full Stack Java developer who can work with our technical team on the development of an existing Web Application to execute in Microsoft’s Azure Cloud. • Our Web application is a Web browser for use by COBOL programmers who develop on IBM z/OS mainframes. • We are utilizing PostgreSQL in this Web application. • The Java developer must be knowledgeable in building applications in Azure. • Knowledge of Microsoft’s DevOps offerings is a plus. • Knowledge of COBOL would be nice but not necessary. Job Type: Part-time on an ongoing basis to work on customer enhancements, future development, and maintenance for discrepancies. Applicant must be physically located in the U.S. Hourly Rate: Depending on Experience. Project Rate: Depending on developer estimates agreed to by Marble Experience: 4 years or more preferred. English is the only language our programming staff speaks and thus we require that English is your first language. Developer Responsibilities: You’ll be working with our technical staff collaborating on finalizing our beta test version of various layers of our COBOL browser in the Azure Cloud. Knowledge of Azure Java tools and Dev Ops tools is a big plus. • Collaborate with programming team to design and launch new features, • Delivering quality products by applying patterns, best practices, industry standards, and writing solid unit tests. • Assisting to define test scenarios of features. • Assisting with technical documentation of installation and configuration guides. • Assisting in troubleshooting and quickly resolving critical production issues. • Displaying self-motivation and eagerness to gain knowledge and experience in industry standards and trends. • Test completed software and debug as necessary. • Develop processes to achieve desired functionality related to COBOL reporting. General Order of Tasks • Examine for any C++ code and talk about ramifications of same • Get existing Code Trakker code working with provided Test Program (this has been working) • Create User id, password login and verification. Also create password reset. • Load Code Trakker and Post-SQL on cloud through Azure • Help create installation Guide with pictures and detailed instructions. • Do all testing to complete connection to cloud on Azure • Fix Pop-Up Window Placement • Determine a method to delete files (.CSV and .RPT) over 6 months old later on • Implement a progress bar of some sort • Redo Pop-Up Window headings (Consultant will work with Marble Computer on this) • Determine how to get 2 mainframe files transfered into Azure. Talk to Consultant about delivering Mainframe reports directly to Post-SQL with or without going through Code-Trakker.
