Job Description:
We are looking for an engaging and dynamic traveling teacher to support 3 students who are currently homeschooled. The students' ages are 3, 5, and 8. The teacher will be in charge of teaching the students core subject areas (reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies) and implementing Montessori methods and strategies. The teacher should also speak a second language besides English and be able to teach that second language.
The ideal candidate will live in or near Atlanta, Georgia, and be willing to travel with the family frequently. The family travels several times per year within the United States and internationally and will need the teacher to be able to travel and continue studies with their students. Traveling costs will be covered by the family.
Responsibilities of the teacher:
Provide instruction for 4.5 hours Monday-Friday
Create structured lesson plans and activities
Be able to create differentiated lessons when necessary
Track the progress of the students
Be available to travel with the family and continue home study
Requirements:
At least a GED
Experience working with children in some capacity
Comfortable following curriculum and teaching all core subject areas
Familiar with Montessori (or willing to learn)
Can create engaging and dynamic student-centered lessons
Can identify areas of improvement and create learning plans based on this
Speak a second language besides English and be able to teach this language
Be open-minded and culturally aware
Flexible and adaptable
Live in or near Atlanta, Georgia OR willing to relocate to this area
Compensation:
$70,000-100,000
