(Budget can be expanded depending on the extent of scope) • Use zip code to determine which database to use for vendor (some zip codes will exclude availability) • Use model number or size to determine which data within a particular vendor to use • Have ability to search by customer name, phone numbers or quote numbers • Ability to generate end result on reports, contract forms, quote form, purchase orders • Customer information should be able to export into CRM or interface with a CRM. We have two related .Net 6.0 applications supporting our clients that are currently distributed in zip files. The first is a command line program, CimInsight.exe, that does a specific kind of data processing. The second is an Avalonia GUI program, CimView.exe, that visually organizes input parameters, builds a command line, and then invokes the command line program CimInsight.exe in a background process. Our customers takes these zip files and manually install the applications and make configuration settings. For Windows customers, we would like to distribute an installer program instead of zip files that can take care of installation and guide users through configuration. This project will comprise the following deliverables: (1) Consultation about the best platform to create the installer at the end of our build process and test process. (2) Define and implement a process to re-package the contents of the zip files into an installer that users can click on and have a wizard guide them through the following choices: -location to install CimInsight.exe -choice of folder for CimInsight data storage to be saved in an XML file -choice of folder for CimInsight log files to be saved in an XML file -optional location of a third-party GraphViz executable to be saved in an XML file -option to install CimView.exe GUI -if installing CimView.exe GUI, location to install it -if installing CimView.exe GUI, configure install location of CimInsight.exe in a json config file for CimView.exe -Optionally create shortcuts on the desktop to the software At the end of the implementation phase, we should be able to take over the process of creating the installer for new versions of the software.
