Looking for legal real estae council on the options I have based on the "PSA - 4013..." contract. The purchase price is $260,000. However, there is a lien on the property for about $90,000. Seller and I discussed all of the purchase price going straight to them, but with the lein on the house that will not be an option for me as the buyer. I'm wondering if I can renegotiate or back out due to the lein, and any other options that may be available. The max I would want to spend here is $290,000 - $300,000. I also have a vacant land contract "PSA - 4017..." for $80,000. Not really an issue here but figured more info is better than not enough. Wondering what my options are here as well.

There is a 75 unit builders remedy development project that has been proposed next door to my parents home. Community is in uproar. Just hosted a neighbor meeting of 50+ individuals all whom I believe would meet accredited investor qualifications. I’m intent on stopping the project. There are a lot of ways to do so. I got a lot of ideas. I was considering on making an offer. Been warned to be careful that it’s not tortious interference. However I see no fraud or intent to make misrepresentations. I believe the project is en escrow and has not closed. I myself would qualify to develop on the property as technically I qualify for affordable housing. However I came into sone funds, but its non taxable and not countable as income. I am evaluating other ideas that would drive publicity to the matter. I can book dirt cheap on a flight pass and travel to Sacramento at a moments notice at any time. While my father a Judge couldn’t sit on the counsel, but I’m the perfect individual for the job. Need some legal opinions on the matter and my wild ideas. If neighbors contribute and I form an LLC or another entity we can block this project.
