Position Requirements · Minimum of five (5) years of experience in video games, animation and/or pre-rendered cinematics · Must be proficient in 3DS Max and modern game engines such as Unreal or Unity · The ability to create highly photorealistic models and animation of characters, aircraft, vehicles, and environments that match our highest standards · Maintain clear and ongoing communication regarding project status · Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Experience · Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. · Minimum five (5) years of experience modeling, texturing, and animation using 3D Studio Max, Maya, or Blender · Minimum five (5) years of experience managing a team of artists · Experience using After Effects or Fusion for compositing render passes · Expert knowledge of Substance 3D Designer and Painter · Expert knowledge of Unreal or Unity game engines · Experience with PBR materials and MDL shaders · Experience with V-Ray, Octane or similar rendering engine is a plus · Knowledge of Zbrush, After Effects or Fusion is a plus · Must be able to work on all aspects of a 3D scene – including but not limited to model set up, materials, lighting, and particles · Knowledge of character animation/rigging/skinning and weight painting is a plus · Must be able to balance quality with project’s time frame · Must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and work well in a team environment · Must be resourceful with excellent follow-through skills · Working knowledge of interactive media (e.g., VR/AR/XR, display technologies, video, 2D/3D animation and interactive software, mobile devices) is a plus · Experience working collaboratively with cross-disciplinary, art, programming, production, and technology teams · Experience working on short-timeline, fast-paced projects · Must be punctual, reliable, flexible, and excellent at balancing multiple detail-oriented projects · Must have excellent presentation and communication skills (written, oral, internal)

We are looking for an experienced 3D character rigger who can rig a 3D bipedal character in Autodesk Maya for our upcoming mobile game. The rig should be optimized for game engines and animation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of character anatomy and be able to create a flexible and functional rig that allows for fluid movements. Use of Autodesk Maya is required. Pay is open for negotiation & can be discussed further during initial project briefing. Hi I'm an experienced 3d animator who's looking to get a couple relatively simple characters modeled and rigged for animation in Maya and to be exported into Unreal for game purposes. Detail level and style along the lines of the attached pictures. Any skill level but most important thing is having a flexible rig as far a scaling bone/breaking joints and such.
