We are looking for an experienced curriculum writer to develop 2 pieces of modular curriculum workbooks that focus on the cultural and ethnic struggles and success of under represented minorities in America. The project is expected to last about 1-3 months. As a curriculum writer, you will be responsible for developing and designing the curriculum to be used by high school students, creating performance tasks, creating original content, and ensuring that said content meets the standards and objectives set forth by Skyrocket and the state of California. Modular topics include the following: the Generational Culture gap among certain ethnic groups; and The Cultural Lens of Media - how orchestrated perception drives individual perception. The ideal candidate should have some background in curriculum design and development, with a deep understanding of social and cultural divides in America. However, the writer would be able to convert this deep knowledge to well-scaffolded activities designed for alternative students. The candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills, meet up to once per week and be able to meet hard deadlines. Knowledge and use of AI programs such as Chat GPT, GPT 4, or Claude is preferred and encouraged.
