I'm the producer of a podcast who is not on video (zoom) -- we have the usual intro in audio only. I have the 3 hosts recorded a video for me on their phone, and sent me the footage. I'm looking for the right match of an individual to edit audio for long-form Youtube video projects for the Masked Marble YouTube channel (marble runs). Frequency of projects may be anywhere from biweekly to every few months. I am not happy with the results I have been able to produce on my own. See the recent Notre Dame marble run video for an example. I spent some time trying to EQ, but in hindsight the voiceovers are too harsh. I just don't have the ear for audio editing, but I can tell if the final result sounds good or not. You will edit a weekly podcast episode, including multi cam video and audio. We have multiple episodes that need to be edited for the launch. Each episode is between 30-60 minutes and they either feature a single host or a host and a guest. Example episodes with music and intro/outro have already been edited for reference. We are seeking a video editor for a large YouTube creator who operates a progressive political channel centered on the news cycle. This editor will directly assist the creator in editing raw videos into daily content for YouTube, TikTok, and across socials. The goal of this editor position is to assist the creator in producing consistent content at a consistent pace. We seek an editor who is a great communicator and can work quickly and intuitively. This person should have a creative bent, with an eye for balanced imagery, and a strong sense of both what “looks good” and (sometimes more important!) what “looks bad.” We would like to review samples of work- videos either shot and/or edited, and it would be helpful to know what was done for each sample. The content produced is time-sensitive and must be turned around in a timely and efficient manner. The estimated workload is approx. 3-4 hours per day, between the hours of 9-5pm Eastern, Monday - Friday. The output is 3-5 approximately 10-minute videos per day, plus a Short (and TikTok) cut down from each video. This is work that can be done remotely, though someone located in the DC-area would potentially have additional work available to them.
