This position is in support of a program pending contract award from our customer. The position requires candidates to have an active TS/SCI clearance with Lifestyle Polygraph.
Work to be performed at multiple locations.
At a field site, the Senior Site Systems Engineer shall provide overall supervision for maintenance and engineering activities, but the primary responsibility shall be to the operation systems. Serve as the CSSR in the event the CSSR is not available.
The work requires written and verbal communications with M&E and Management personnel to assist the Government to define requirements and coordinate planning and implementation of tasks. Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems (i.e., those that typically cannot be solved solely by reference to manufacturers' manuals or similar documents) in working on electronic equipment used in Radio Frequency Operations. Examples of problems include but are not limited to:
Using system level functioning or diagnostic indicators to solve an immediate problem necessitating a lower level resolution.
Manipulating hardware in the location of deficiencies/malfunctions in a subsystem or circuit.
Solving electromagnetic radiation problems.
Isolating malfunctions using logic or network analyzers.
Provide engineering services to support computer and other digital systems maintenance in resolving complex or continuing problems.
Provide engineering services support for site data links, networks, and associated interfaces.
Analyze system and subsystem availability time and performance data, comparing the data to the specifications and historical data for trend analysis, any trends shall be evaluated and when required, appropriate actions shall be initiated to improve calibration procedures, provide maintenance assistance/technical training or recommend equipment modifications.
