I would like to have a consult regarding the following circuit - https://longview.be/basic-rf-over-fiber-laser-driver.html I am attempting to integrate it into a LiFi project. Ultimately I need to use an LED as the transmitter. I understand there is a significant difference in bandwidth. The incoming RF signal frequency will be in the 2-100 Mhz range. Instead of taking the circuit apart and redesigning it, I am wondering if it is possible to allow the circuit to perform the modulation and then amplify the output. For example - If I was able to construct the board, could I do something like the following (assuming supporting circuitry were designed) - Connect a laser diode like this - https://www.lightoptics.co.uk/products/1310nm-coaxial-3mw-dfb-laser-diode-fiber-pigtail-fc-apc-connector To a photodiode like this - https://www.lightoptics.co.uk/products/1550nm-photodiode-coaxial-fiber-pigtail?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=dda712133&pr_rec_pid=7869658857730&pr_ref_pid=7870182555906&pr_seq=uniform Then connect the photodiode to a transimpedance amplifier like this - https://www.ebay.com/itm/155797335155?itmmeta=01HVKG8FNC6EMC7QHDC2BW0RQS&hash=item24463eac73:g:LsYAAOSw6pRlEvLw&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0G7waUPGWl36fMiTU8xff9f09lO1rmx8hWpaRpi%2FYWOuz5AQMr0VAiF7f%2FcoeBbWiUROzJx1F%2BRB17mFrPo5x1lqWBUO%2BLZoVRlglNf5i1ev3CIvf6YF5WeXfmQYrUyy6AzWgPSxZzUwjv4x5rVXDBhGcUqvPA9ffGzLpDUqiJ%2B66Ggw69kBpyRqBAFbM0CpkzdqY5BnmGq2VyVc%2BcWFjbPl4Y7aXotYCc21Kwx52q1JmVLJqsf4n7aKkl6OwAqyW8I1kDWQNUh0u3mP2SPcwvM%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-D6ofDcYw If that is usable, could the output from the amplifier be combined with a power supply to modulate an LED to use as a LiFi transmitter? What size/power LED's could I support? I am also open to alternatives. This is what our call will focus on if you would like to participate.

I'd like to design a small PCB that has the same form factor (note the PCB is 0.6mm thin for a total package height of 1.9mm) as the Tomu and has similar functionality, but i'd like it to be Arduino based. I'm thinking a processor like ATSAMD21. https://www.crowdsupply.com/sutajio-kosagi/tomu/ Find all of the schematics and project files on the Github. https://github.com/im-tomu I also want to have physical tactile buttons instead of the touch sensitive button. I think 2 or 3 side buttons would sit nicely on the edge of the PCB to easily press. (LS12T2-T) For the boot/reset button i'd like pads instead of a button. Its important that its as small as possible. Preferably just the buttons will sit outside of the USB port. I'd also like a copy of the project files. I'd like to be able to open these files in a free software like Kicad. Thank you!
