I am a lender to a cannabis company (borrower) in Puerto Rico and we've issued a notice of default to the borrower. I have two corporate lawyers I work with on such matters, but I'd like to find a very experienced lawyer for these situations to help put together the step-by-step actions and considerations which we can take in the process. You will be given all the documents necessary to review and understand objectively the situation. I'd like to get started right away. The next step would be to indicate your interest and explain your experience in these sorts of situations. Thank you for your consideration.

I am starting a new Michigan based S-Corp and I am looking to hire most of the employees as contracted, similar to what Disney does @ their park with 9 month (varied) contracts. There are any number of reasons for wanting to do this. However my biggest benefit is the ease to get rid of bad employees/contractors without the messy divorce if they do not perform, attendance issues, etc.. We simply do not renew their contract, goodbye, We understand that this will eliminate some potential hires, but it is a trade off we are willing to make in this job market and lack of work ethic. On the positive side for good employees, it allows them to get bonuses @ the end of their contracts and/or negotiate for higher pay/benefits. Capitalism is a merit based construct, and we want to keep it that way. Rewarding those whom deliver, and easily phasing out those who do not. We will contract an HR executive for monthly performance reviews to be used toward their contract to make it as corporate America airtight as we can to prevent legal blow back. Having been through a number of legal processes previously over my 25 years in business. I would presume there is a template that we use as a baseline and modify it as needed. With that said, I am ideally looking for a fixed budget/timeline as what I need is pretty straight forward.

I am a lessor and need lease agreement with an existing tennant. I have written a contract but need it reviewed by a North Carolina lawyer. Please add some language in there that says that all improvements made to the property belong to us (OBX Beverage) at the conclusion of the lease term. Also - they will be parking trucks in this area and it is possible that one of their trucks damages our building or our trucks that are parked close by. Can you please add language that will protect us in that case?
