We are looking for Social Media & Online Reputation Managers for our South African websites:
This is a fixed position working from home, 5 days a week, 2 hours a day, going on indefinitely. Please consider this when you apply, don't send us a proposal if you are just looking for a short term or temporary job.
You should be South African native who can speak fluent local English, and understand Afrikaans as well as some other major native languages, e.g. Zulu and Xhosa. And good understanding of South African consuming behavior in at least one of the retail segments such as fashion, electronics, home & garden and so on.
You should be social networking lover and be familiar with main international and local social media including facebook, Whats up, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, Mxit etc. and skillful at using Facebook at least.
You should have experience to handle the customer complain and skillful in answering the frequently asked questions, providing professional customer care and managing PR crisis online to make sure the positive online company reputation in South Africa.
You should be creative to plan and implement online marketing campaigns and initiatives aiming to South Africa shoppers through social media to acquire and maintain the fans and keep the positive interaction with them eventually to increase the conversion rate of the traffic from social media to be our customers and sales order.
If you have experience of online shopping, especially cross-border online shopping experience will be preferred.
You will monitor and manage the reputation of our brands, listening, reporting and responding to what people are saying about us across the web. You might not handle the complaint directly (such as a refund or re-sending of goods), but will ensure that the right person handles the complaint and that the situation is resolved satisfactorily for the customer. Interactions will be through specific social media website, review websites, forum website, blogs or pages. You will have training sessions to learn our best practices and customer service policies.
You will be responsible for the daily operation of major social media pages of LightInTheBox in South Africa including but not limited in Facebook LightInTheBox ZA. The daily operation work including content plan & generation, material editing, text & picture post and necessary customer service online.
OUR APPROACH TO FREELANCERS AND REMOTE EMPLOYEES
As you can see from our many job posts, most of them offering fixed positions, we employ many freelancers and we plan to scale this even more in the future. Freelancers and remote staff are a core part of our company, we don't post these jobs to cover a temporary need, which means that there can be development and career opportunities if you show us your talent, such as managing or leading a team of remote employees.
For this work we will pay 330 US$ per month, that's 300 US$ per month net for you after platform fees. Payments for the month will be released around the 10th of the next month, so for example for your work in June, you will receive your salary on the 10th of July (it could be one or two days late if the 10th falls on a weekend).
Note that it is up to you to research and comply to local regulations and laws in your country regarding your income deriving from freelance work, as well as to pay any applicable taxes. We will not pay additional contributions or taxes apart from your salary.
