I have exchanged a cryptocurrency with a person on the website called kucoin.com. I was selling cryptocurrency and the customer paid using Zelle. I am a seller, the other counterparty is the buyer. Description of the process. 1. I add my cryptocurrency to the escrow account, after that the system freezes my assets, so I cannot withdraw them anywhere. 2. After an order was opened, the customer has proceed with the payment. 3. The kucoin.com platform already has an integrated platform for verification, which allows only people who confirmed their identity to use the platform. 4. After the person sent transfer, and marked as paid on the platform, I have checked the names on the Platform and Zelle, and they match. 5. After that, I successfully released him the exact amount of cryptocurrency he was buying. 6. Transactions with counterparty happened 3 times without any problems. 7. The customer also contacted me in telegram that he was perfoming those transactions, but as today - he deleted the communication. The chargeback After a week of these transactions, I noticed, that my checking account with Chase was debited 3 times, and based on the number of transactions I can clearly say that they were related to this person. After contacting the Chase Bank, they said that the buyer contacted the bank and said that he didn't recieve goods that he was purchasing. The Chase Bank said there was nothing they could do about it because the claim was initiated from another bank. After submitting documents to chase, they reject to re-open a claim, because Zelle is third party. My complain with CFPB was rejected. I need legal advice on what should i do and a clear explanaition of the possibilities or outcomes of going to the police/court and filling charges with them. I also was thinking go to debt collection, private investigator, or chargeback collections website. I need help with where should i go and what to do I have the counterparty name and last digits of a bank account. (based on my research on internet I found a person social media profile).
