Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled full-stack developer with expertise in HTML, Ruby, SCSS, and JavaScript to complete, optimize, and deploy our web application. The application is partially completed and currently hosted on Heroku. The selected candidate will ensure the application is robust, efficient, and perfectly aligned with our intended user experience and operational goals. Responsibilities: Initial Review: Understand the site description, objectives, and intended functionality to fully grasp the project scope. Code Review: Conduct a thorough code review to identify and fix any bugs or performance issues, ensuring alignment with the site description and objectives. UX and Front-End Updates: Implement minor updates and enhancements to the UX and front-end features as specified. Deployment Strategy Evaluation: Evaluate our current deployment strategy and recommend a cost-effective plan for optimal performance, considering our preference for Heroku for the app and AWS for images and CDN. Ongoing Maintenance: Proactively address and resolve any issues that arise post-deployment. Required Skills: Strong experience in HTML, Ruby, SCSS, and JavaScript. Proven track record of developing and deploying applications on Heroku. Experience with AWS, particularly with S3 and CloudFront for handling images and CDN services. Ability to diagnose and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Additional Skills: Experience with responsive and adaptive design is highly preferable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
