I'm looking for a tutor to help guide me through developing two final projects for an information design class. I am not a graphic designer (nor am I entering the field), and have not been finding the Adobe software I've been using intuitive. Also my school's tutoring resources have not been helpful.
I have information / ideas about how I'd like these assignments to look, but I am unsure about how to execute them. However, I am more than open to suggestions about how to simplify these designs to better fit with my capabilities.
Project 1 involves an infographic redesign-- I have the data collected / the design I would like to correct. I have been running into issues using illustrator to represent this data in graphs. So, understanding of how to represent data clearly / effectively. This data includes patron's library circulation records over the course of a few years.
Project 2 involves a website design (this does not involve coding at all, I just need to design how the site would look). This project has less guidelines, and can be experimental. I have chosen fonts, color schemes, have sketches, and a proposal about what information I'd like to represent. Specifically, I'm looking at different media adaptations of a novel, and collecting data/information based on it.
This job would be starting anytime (preferably around April 15th) and ending on May 5th. I would be interested in arranging weekly video calls to discuss/ask questions/be guided through certain design processes. I would specifically need about 2-3 hours a week. No professional experience required, just as long as you've been steadily developing the skills listed.
