Job Description

Trilogy SmartLeads - Database Architect
Key responsibilities:

Custodian of all SmartLeads databases:
Data warehouse
LMS database
Scoring Hubs
Backup tables containing various information on other servers such as
Sales archives on Failover server
DB Architect who decides how the database should be structured/designed
Responsible for regular assessment and improvement of DB architecture and performance
Responsible for establishing DB development rules for Dev teams
The primary person authorized to make changes to production databases, such as:
All structural changes are to be approved through this person
Pushing structural changes to production (new cols, tables, stored procs etc)
Entering or deleting data that can not be otherwise done through a UI
Data manipulation
Cleanup of DBs in special scenarios
Responsible for working with the Product Support Lead to provide up to date backups of DB snapshots for development
Responsible for DB replication & duplication requirements as needed
Works with the QA team to develop SQL queries that can be used for testing and extracting results of database operations conducted via UI or daemon processes
Working with the Product Support Lead to ensure that sales and sales match data is uploaded regularly into and catching data inconsistencies:
LMS (Legacy Reports)
Data warehouse
etc
Troubleshooting data consistency or logic errors with sales, lead and match data
Writing scripts for ad-hoc data extractions or loads (ad-hoc CSV, XLS reporting)
Responsible for handling and monitoring RDS DB instances on Staging and Production environments.
Release/programming activities:
Writing database architecture and technical design documents
Creation of databases, tables etc
Creation of SQL queries
Post deployment data import/export
Ad-hoc Java coding where applicable




Experience:
7 years in a DBA position
Experience in managing large data sets
Familiarity with BI systems like QliKView is a plus
Experience with cloud technologies (Amazon RDS, EC2 etc is a must)
