Consider any business organization of your choice such as School, Hospital, Bank, Club, Travel Agency, Rent Car Company, Spare Part Company...
The objective is to elaborate on a database under Oracle that represents the different components of the organization selected. Also develop an application under Forms Builder (Oracle Forms) that will allow users to communicate with the Database.
Task1: ER Diagram
The first task of this project consists of collecting the data required about the organization and to draw an Entity-Relationship Diagram that will model the main objects with their attributes and relationships. The student has to draw an ER diagram by using the appropriate symbols and notations.
Task2: ER Mapping
The second task of this project is to transform the above ERD into Database Schema elements that will transform the ERD into elements acceptable and implementable by any Database System. This can be done by creating junction (or intersection) relations for many-to-may relationships (if any). Also, the student must ensure that all constraints are represented correctly.
Task3: Implementation of the Database under SQL Plus
In this Task, use SQLPLUS to create your database by writing SQL Statements.
Task4: Creating an application under Oracle Forms
Once you have created your database, you must create a application under Oracle Forms to communicate with the Database created above. You have to create at least four modules for implementing the CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) operations. In this application, you must attempt all objects used and studied during the semester especially canvases, blocks, menus, record groups, LOVs, Program Units, Triggers, ... Your application must contain a main form that contain buttons and menus that will allow navigating to other secondary forms.
Task5: Creating Reports under Oracle Reports
Create a variety of Reports under oracle forms and relate them to the main form of the application.
