Hyper-V Expert Needed to Troubleshoot "No Network Access" on Guest OS
We are a rapidly growing provider of database infrastructure management and database support services. We help our clients with database administration, database monitoring and database support.
One of our customers has reached out to us asking for help with configuring Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V. Everything is now set up and working except that the guest machine cannot connect to the Internet.
-- Server is running Windows 2008 R2
-- Server connected to the Internet on 1GB LAN
-- Hyper-V Role is enabled / Hyper-V Manager is set up
-- Guest machine is set up / installed (Windows 7 Pro)
-- Virtual Network is set up using Virtual Network Manager with option "External"
-- Guest machine (Windows 7 Pro) is accessible but it cannot connect to the Internet
-- Error is showing "Unidentified Network / No Network Access"
All standard methods of resolution were already tried.
-- Resolve Internet connectivity on the Guest machine. It should be a simple project for someone experienced in Hyper-V.
If this project goes well, there is an opportunity to work remotely as an on-demand Windows Server/Hyper-V/Network expert on on-going basis.
