Project Description /Summary:
The project is to create a web-based Java applet. The applet is to sit on an e-commerce website where customers can purchase and customise clothing. The Java-applet is required for the customising of clothing with text and images. The Java applet will be loaded when a customer navigates to a specific product page. If customisation of the product is allowed then the applet will be loaded with the product image (e.g. a sweat-shirt) in the centre of the applet. The customer can then customise the product image with text (various sizes, colours, fonts, rotations) and images (adjustable sizes and rotations). The customer can customise the product image with multiple "text" areas and images if they wish. When the applet is initially loaded an ID will be passed (somehow) from the website to the applet, when the customer has finished customising the product they click "buy now", the applet then saves the customised image as a JPG with a file name of the ID which was passed to the applet and then causes a POST FORM command to another page while posting the ID to that page.
Below is a list of specific applet functionality requirements.:
Zoom (100%, 200%, 300%, 400%)
Logo: Upload logo (upload image and option to auto remove background) > place on garment
Type text and choose font > place on garment
Colour wheel/edit wheel, to change: colour, scale, rotate etc. logo and text directly on garment
Save or Email Garment with logo & text on it (as jpeg) with a specific ID, which can then be referred to.
To copy the functionality of the following site (but to improve the interface) : http://www.ashcity.com/en-ca/produ
