This role entails
(a) Managing, editing and sometimes contributing content to our Journal, which houses our online content (http://www.prescouter.com/journal)
(b) Identifying potential guest authors for the Journal
(c) Managing email newsletter campaigns that are sent to over 20,000 corporate innovation leaders. The newsletters contain highlights from our Journal.
(d) Promoting content from the Journal on social media platforms - and LinkedIn in particular.
(e) Identifying websites that our target audience vists, and pitching guest blog posts from us on those sites, for the purpose of link exchange.
(f) Tracking analytics on click-throughs from the newsletter, social media and search traffic, to make recommendations on improving content selection for the readership.
The role may also include some expansion into more traditional marketing areas, such as advertising, establishing a presence at expos and PR.
The ideal candidate would possess these qualities:
(a) Must be a fast learner and hungry to learn, since online marketing is a fast changing area.
(b) Highly motivated to succeed. Since we are a startup, the opportunities are endless.
(d) Can take on responsibility and ownership of a substantial part of a company's marketing operation.
(e) Is organized and has a strong process orientation. This person will need to keep on top of many different things since there are a lot of different pieces to this role.
(f) Has an interest in innovation and innovation theories.
(g) Has some previous applicable experience or expertise in online marketing
