Job Description

We run an online conference registration service and need to upgrade our payments function. We are the ideal services/api platform that should allow us to connect to as many 3rd party services as possible. Including clients who possess their own online merchant services account, and those who do not. Our clients use multiple currencies and many are located overseas. Our goal is to provide an interface that can seamlessly connect to a wide variety of domestic (US) and international Internet Merchant accounts/payment gateways. We already have coded to paypal and paypal website payments pro, and have coded to authorizenet as our own payments mechanism. We would like to engage a someone with extensive experience in connecting web application services to multiple payments systems to prepare recommendations on the best approach that a multi-client web- services platform (us) can us to connect our shopping cart to clients various payments back ends as efficiently as possible.

We are looking for someone who though their own prior work knows the answer to these issues and can assist us in identifying the best platforms to connect to in order to provide the widest possible flexibility in passing payments to our clients. Our goal is to adopt as close to a universal gateway as possible. The successful candidate will have demonstrated comparable work and be able to provide reference clients that can speak to the results of the candidate's work.

The project deliverable is a specific report detailing the best and most widely applicable payments gateways, and the implementation considerations for each.
