Job Description

Project manager required for volume website project

We have a project that requires us to create websites and web solutions for 40-60+ independent builders, with the project to be spread out over 12+ months.

These independent builders are all part of the same group, but have their own unique identities, brand and business profile.

As a result, we have an ongoing requirement approx 20 hours per week, for an experienced project manager, to assist us in the areas of project management and potentially some writing and possibly marketing assistance.

The Project Management duties will include:
(i) clearly documenting the project plan/tasks/deliverables in the online PM/collaboration system;
(ii) ensuring that all information (words/text, images, graphics, etc) that is required for the website production is received, is optimised and made available to the website developers;
(iii) ensuring that the website developers are working efficiently and that no issues are arising with any project;
(iv) depending on the PM's writing ability, may including writing content for the sites;
(v) helping to set-up gmail/google apps accounts for teh clients (we also set-up email systems for the clients, based on Google Apps)
(vi) ensuring that communication with the client is maintained thoughout the project;
(vii) creating and delivering project handover documents to the clients
(viii) ensuring that all elements of the project are delivered on time and to the highest level of quality;

Copywriting/Content writing/Wordpress editing

For each website, based on the answers to a questionnaire completed by the client, plus the results of a 1-hour interview with the client (the PM is not responsible for the initial client interview, but will join-in on the tele-conference), the content writing/copywriting duties will include:

(i) writing website copy that describe the builder specifically, (50-75 words)

(ii) writing web copy that describe the different areas of work that the builder operates (ie new homes, renovations/extensions, architectural homes, etc) (50 word summary for each area, 100-150 words details for each detail page).

(iii) creating Frequently Asked Questions and answers (much of this is common across the builder sites)

(iv) writing ongoing "News articles" for the builder clients, (based on builder, builder group and industry activity) to ensure that their website remains fresh and dynamic.

(v) updating content within our client's Wordpress template based sites.

Note, that the majority of the copy will be similar in style and content across the sites, and so each site will not require content to be written from scratch. However, most of the content (with the exception of the FAQ), will need to be modified, reworked slightly - ie each site must look/feel different, and not be an exact copy.


Marketing Assistance

(i) writing newsletters that we will send to our clients
(ii) communicating with our clients via email to generate interest in the services that we are offering, and maintaining a complete log of activities in our CRM system;

The successful applicant for this position, will:

(i) be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail;
(ii) have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English;
(iii) will have excellent experience in creating copy for business websites, and for general business writing;
(iv) have very strong project management experience with wordpress website design projects (graphic design skills are an advantage)
(v) have excellent experience with configuring and updating Wordpress based websites.
(vi) You must be proactive and capable of working independently;
(vii) You must be totally and completely reliable and trustworthy;
