We are looking for a researcher with detailed analysis skills who can provide, compile and manage ongoing research on child poverty in Vancouver, analyzing different sources such as the news, research articles, governmental reports, etc.
Specifically, the tasks will include:
1. Monitor all sources of information in the news, media, research articles, governmental reports and produce organized research info on the issue
2. Use critical thinking in figuring out the issues at hand that our organization can dive into
3. Create a brief weekly summary of relevant information, with links to original sources
5. Maintain time sheets to allow an accurate assessment of time spent
An understanding of the issue at hand in Vancouver, British Columbia is essential. More important is a keen mind and the ability to read, disseminate, summarize and organize information found about the issue. Ideally, you will be based in British Columbia (Lower Mainland) so we can coordinate meetings to discuss your findings.
