We have a short term project with a school district in the Plymouth Meeting, PA are that will involve setting up Microsoft’s System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (goes by SCCM). The school has never used the tool but owns it, so they would like to deploy. SCCM will help them manage 2,900 devices, mostly PC’s and laptops – all Dell hardware and Microsoft operating systems. They have several PC Images that they deploy and update and that’s what they want SCCM to do. Right now they use Fog but that requires touching each device, which is not a good use of their time or money. This is a short term project, probably 2 weeks to start and then repeat visits over time to help expand SCCM’s capabilities. This resource has to be very experienced with the product because they will be mentoring at least one person along the way. It has to be onsite to begin, but there will be remote support opportunities as we progress.
