The idea is for an app that would test the compatibility between two people by having them each place their thumb in a designated area on the iPhone/iPod screen. After a moment the screen would then read from a random list of answers such as, cold, red hot, lukewarm, etc. There would also be a hidden button that a user could press before placing their thumb onto the screen that would automatically bring back a compatibility answer of Red hot. The idea is for the user to be able to use the app as an icebreaker when approaching a person they would like to meet/date.
The details for the app are that it is a way to test the compatibility between two people by having them each place a thumb on the screen. There should be two designated boxes on the iPod/iPhone screen in which the users thumbs are placed. Once the thumb is placed in the box the box should change color indicating that the thumb is placed correctly. After both people are touching the screen, the app will take a moment as if it is compiling the results of the two people's compatibility. Then after a moment the screen will change color and possibly graphics to reflect whether the two people are romantically compatible or not. I am also debating on having a funny message pop up that would reflect the two peoples compatibility. The compatibility results are basically random unless the user presses a hidden button on the screen that will automatically bring back highly compatible results. The idea being that someone could use this app as an ice breaker when meeting someone new. I will email some rough drawings of how I am seeing the UI looking. As far as the look such as colors and theme of the UI I would like for it to be tied to a theme of like a chemistry set since it is testing the compatibility between people. Therefore things such as beakers, and lab equipment incorporated into the design would be great. For instance when the app returns a highly compatible match a beaker in a lab would fill up with liquid. And if it is a poor match the beaker would lose liquid.
