The project is to translate a travel website dealing with ecotourism in the Central-west region of Brazil from (preferably) English or Portuguese into various other languages. We expect the translators to be native speakers or have a very good justification as to why they have written fluency in a language that is not a native language. No advanced computer skills are required. Material can be sent and delivered by email, website in plain text format, in word, open office, or ideally cut and pasted into notepad once you have done your spell check and word count. Once the website is translated into a target language, we would need someone to correspond with people in that target language via email, so there is an opportunity for future work. There are some languages such as German and Spanish where we already have guides available and others where we would want the client would have to have a reasonable knowledge of English or Portuguese, for example in order to be attended by the guide. We will consider translating into niche languages based on the price of the work; Some languages are more valuable to us such as Mandarin, Russian, which are emerging niche markets. If you are from Romania or Tailand, we love your language, but we don´t see too many tourists from there. We prefer to pay based on the word count. We would also consider hiring persons to evaluate the qualitly of translation for languages we don´t have a clue about.
