We are looking for skilled writers proficient in writing for the web, with experience in providing SEO content, to write content for our holiday and weather wesbite, holiday-weather.com.
We are looking for around 300 words per month for each resort, with a brief focus on the weather and climate in the area, as well as what do to and where to go for each month of the year: the different sports and activities that can be done there (golf, water sports etc); popular day trips and excursions; events going on in each month; the main tourist sites and attractions; beaches and so on.
As well as this, you also need to mention one or two popular hotels or other accommodation options in the area for each month. The people that look at the website are primarily UK nationals who go on holiday to the Canary Islands and the resorts in the Mediterannean. They stay in resort hotels where all their food is included and its around £399 for a week. They are not people with a lot of money. Check websites like TripAdvisor to find the hotels with the highest ratings but at budget prices.
Writing needs to be concise, factually based and aimed at the British tourist planning their holiday. Please also provide links to outside websites when you reference specific places/hotels.
It's also vital to provide internal links, including links to five other resorts over the space of the 12 months, with similar weather, linking to the Holiday-Weather resort page.
As well as this, using Sousse in Tunisia as an example, please mention and internally link to Tunisia on every month- e.g. '..in Sousse, Tunisia..'
Each resort needs to include 2 internal links to the resort's 14 day weather forecast and 2 to the annual averages of the resort. That's for the entire year.
Please also internally link to the Holiday Guide page for the resort throughout the content too. Perhaps just at the beginning when you first reference the resort.
Content can be sent over in a Word document.
Payment for each resort is $3 per 300 words.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT READING THE JOB DESCRIPTION.
Please mention the word I have read the job posting in the beginning of your cover letter. Applications without it will be rejected automatically.
Examples of the general format can be found here
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions though, as we want to get this right the first time, with minimal rewriting necessary
