I am looking for a personal assistant to help me with some of my administrative work.
This post is for a trial, but if it goes well I may contract you full time for the indefinite future.
The ideal candidate is someone really smart, just out of university and interested in developing their skills across a wide range of areas. Someone looking for experience and career development more than money, and looking to develop their English and gain understanding of a wide range of different areas, both in academia and business.
Basically, I am hoping I can find someone to work with for a long time, and build a strong symbiotic relationship. You work for me and I will help you improve, and then if you do a good job, I will write you a great reference. I can't promise anything more than that, but you can also be sure that, where possible, I would certainly try to help you succeed at what ever it is you are hoping to achieve.
I am a PhD student on a scholarship, who has recently co-founded a start-up company. My background is in information systems and psychology.
My business, interests, and research, are mainly directed toward encouraging social change through enabling technologies, so if you are interested in that then we might really work well together.
To assist me you need to be able to speak, read, and write perfect English (native speaker preferred, but not required). You must also be familiar with the following software: Microsoft Office, Google docs and Skype.
Other skills which would be beneficial, but are not essential, are:
Photoshop and graphic design skills (to create info-graphics, and other imagery for the website)
Web Research skills
Social media management
Again, I will reiterate that having good English is very important.
