I want to help people find the concerts they’re interested in, as simply as humanly possible. I need a website built that will allow users to enter in their favorite artists, their location and their preferences for how often they want to receive emails. I would also like the user to be able to set the maximum distance they’re willing to travel.
The front-end is very simple, but will require a large database that will store all user data and will allow for the service to push emails back to users alerting them when a concert of interest is coming to their area, with a url link to purchase tickets. I also imagine that the auto-correct may be complicated as well (i.e. when a user enters in Red Ht Chilli Pepears I would like the service to suggest The Red Hot Chili Peppers as a correction).
I’m not positive how I want the concert data to be entered. It would be cool to use web crawlers to pull that data automatically, but is not essential at this point. I anticipate having a prototype period where users can enter their data, but won’t receive updates until I work out how that information will be aggregated. Hopefully a seed round will help fix that problem.
Click the email box – enter email address
Click password box – enter password (when new users sign up, the password will be visible characters, when returning, black dots)
Click Captcha box – Enter Captcha (if registering)
**Next page swipes in from the right**
Click in the top box and start entering band/artist names – autofill will try to predict what you mean as you type
Hit enter – box clears but text input line remains, ready for more input
Notice the name transfer to the larger box underneath it
Continue to type bands in – list continually autosaves
Enter location and max distance to travel (autosaves)
Enter preferences for receiving emails (autosaves again)
