Job Description

Looking for a graphic designer to create a number of animations that will be on a website. The animations need to be light and load quickly. The animations need to express certain themes and relate to various images that will also be appearing on the website. The project can have no flash animation. We are looking for at least 6 unique animations for the splash page of this website. The animations will also have to have to be scaled to match the screen and viewing aspects of at least three basic screen viewing sizes. Though for the first part of the project the animations will only have to be viewable on 1024 x 768 minimum screen size. I will be attaching a zip file with examples of the types of images that will be used on the website. I am also including a list of quotes that will matched to the animations. These quotes will be visible as each of these animations are displayed. We are loosely basing the website design off of the following website design. http://www.moma.org/interactives/exhibitions/2012/centuryofthechild/
The website that is being developed is designed to be an information resource for homeowners in southern California who are at risk of losing their home due to circumstance related to the current recession and or housing crisis.
Below are the quotes, with suggested ideas about the animation and images related to the quote.

“Are you drowning” Graphic image of a adult male being flooded by water, With image flashing above showing the financial Drowning.

“Is the ground beneath your house being pulled out from under you?” A home sitting on shaky ground that, crumbles beneath the home. Image: Bank owned/ Forclosure

“Are you hiding when people come to the door?” Animation: House forms to a door with chains wrapped around it or Window curtain cracking open with shape of face looking out. Image: picture of alone in hallway.

“Are you afraid to reach out?” Animation: Two hands reach towards each other. Image: Man alone on caculator

“You recognize a bad investment when you see one” Animation: Line graph with the value of ? going down. The line progressively goes down in motion. Image: House prices going down with time Big Red Arrow pointing down through a house.

“We’re here with options and a solution” Animation: Image slideshow in the middle circle: Loan Modification, Avoid foreclosure, Credit Repair, Moving into a new home, Happy family!




I am open to suggestions on how best to visually represent the themes expressed in the quotes. The winning contractor will exhibit excellent written communication and strong creative thinking skills. The best ideas and related technical expertise in creating animations for this website that both express the message, while maintaining efficient site load speeds will win this contract.
