Job Description

We are looking to hire a writer / blogger passionate about computer hardware for PC and Mac to:

2. Tweet and Facebook post for each website on Monday and Wednesday weekly

This will include research and developing a pipeline of interesting topics to cover at least one week in advance. For PC http://www.anandtech.com/ will give you a good idea of topics, and, www.insanelymac.com/ and tonymacx86 for OSX86 which is another area we cover. To give you a sample, you would find it of great interest to explore and write about an ideal Custom OSX workstation configuration for Autodesk Maya or DaVinci Resolve, or separately, a Windows PC blog you write might be on the most important factors which go into deciding on PC hardware upgrades for your business.

Each blog and ultimately guest blogging will usually be 250 - 350 words, and it will be your responsibility to keep on top of news so that any late-breaking news in the PC / OSX Hardware world is blogged about and posted prior to 8AM PST Monday through Friday, but of course I would encourage to explore topics which interest you in this area. Citing other prominent articles and bloggers by hyperlink is important, and knowing how to write for maximum SEO effect is important, too.

Re Twitter and Facebook, your tweets must be attention grabbing and thoughtful as well, and drive traffic to our FB pages and website. Their may be some simple design projects, marketing-related as well and if so it would be good for you to have some familiarity with Magento and Wordpress.

Execellent English, spoken and written, is important. I am looking to provide a long term opportunity here, and hire someone who will grow with our company. For this reason a resume with long term commitments is important. This job requires a one hour commitment each day, starting in the morning to research, blog post, tweet and facebook posts, though you should plan on being available for 2 hours a day for the first month. Work weeks are Monday - Friday.

Please forward your resume, along with references and samples of your work here and we will get back to you promptly.
