ZEN CART DEVELOPER (TRIAL BASIS ONLY)
This is purely a Zen Cart Developer, paid trial basis position. If you fail to meet our criterias, we will not employ you for the next phase of our development process. Our criterias are not just technical skills, we are looking for a developer that has a good command on spoken and written English, honesty, politeness, etc. We will not be revealing the other criterias we are looking for in our candidate.
PHASE I of Mala OnLine Services
We have a total of 4 ecommerce websites, this particular job is for only one of our website. Therefore, this means that if our candidate is successful there may be other development work on our other projects too.
Most of the products upload will be completed by today, Friday 15th Feb. Please visit all the pages within the site, as this will help us both to discuss the website at our interview discussions.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
The mala-matlock.com is both a community based project to create part-time gardener and driver jobs for disadvantaged or vulnerable adults only and an ecommerce website. If you do not know what disadvantaged or vulnerable adults mean in England, please look it up on the internet. It's very important you understand our commitment to these people.
The entire project is completely funded by Mala OnLine Services, the e-commerce section of the website is dedicated as a portal for retailers in the Matlock area only, located in Derbyshire, England. Please look up Google Map, and find pictures of Matlock and Matlock Bath. Please view this ecommerce section of the website as a micro version of EBay, where we list only Matlock based products available for sale to the world. This is also a very important aspect of this website, and most of your development work will be dedicated to this section. This section is the income-generated part of the website, and the more retailers we can get to join us the more money the website can earn.
COMMUNITY BASED WEBSITE
The website also serves the community by providing details of social activities or diary. Matlock is a major tourist attraction, therefore we will also provide information for them too.

1) SEO & TRAFFIC for www.mala-matlock.com
We promote and optimize rankings on Google, on the retailers behalf and if they require more than 3 products for sale we charge the retailers a monthly fee of either £5 for 12 products or £10 for 24 products, per month. The website will have a section dedicated to the retailers side, whereby we can set up the Bank Direct Debit Mandate Form for them to sign so as we can collect their fee every month.
2) CUSTOMER's MY ACCOUNT FORM
a) Insert time and date enter boxes for local deliveries (done)
b) As soon as customer paid for order, basic details of the order to be sent by text to the retailer store, gardener or driver mobile tel
3) LIVE VERSION
Please make the "beta" version the "live" version, namely when you click the www.mala-matlock.com, I do not wish to see the word "beta" in the url
4) LOCK CORE PRODUCTS IN HOME PAGE
Please note that as it is a community based website, the core products must be fixed or locked permanently onto the 1st Row for Gold, Silver & Bronze Gardening Services and 2nd Row is for Fruit, Veg & Salad Community Co-op products. I noticed that whenever I update my products, these core products change positions and I don't want that. Hope that makes sense!
