Job Description

Project: Turn audio recordings into PowerPoint Videos

I’m creating a new instructional information product about Building Sales Teams using PowerPoint videos.

Job description

This job involves

1) Listening carefully to audio recordings and creating PowerPoint slides with “builds” to match the important points being covered in the audio,
2) Recording a screen capture video (Camtasia or Screenflow) recording the audio synced to the PowerPoint
3) Editing the video and rendering into MP4 format, suitable for iPhone playback
4) Adding video intro and outro bumpers, to be supplied

We will start with a trial 20-minute audio, which does not mean the job should take 20 minutes; probably more like an hour or two.

This job should be relatively simple for someone with the right skill set.

The main criteria for quality work is translating the recorded audio into high-quality, appropriate English language PowerPoints, and marrying those slides to the audio to produce the MP4s.

Also, turnaround time is very important as I am delivering these videos on a schedule. Typically I need 2 day turnaround, tops.
Compensation

The job pays $5.00 US per hour.

This is a part time project, with the total program being roughly 30-40 hours of recorded audio. Each week will be around 1-1/2 to 3 hours of audio, approximately.

Once this project is complete, there will be subsequent projects.

If you're interested and can do this job in a timely fashion let me know and I'll send you a dropbox link. In the folder you’ll find two completed videos, along with the source audio and the PowerPoint for those audios. These are intended to be examples.

You’ll also find a 20 minute audio entitled, "Sales Voodoo 0203 Lead and Territory Management.mp3"

This last is the “trial.” Your job is to create a PowerPoint, using the template and a similar level of detail to the two samples. Once you’ve created the PowerPoint you will sync the video to the slides/builds and crearte a MP4 video according using software such as ScreenFlow or Camtaisa.

The “tricky” part of this job is creating the PowerPoint slides from the recorded audio. The challenge is getting the right level of detail on the slides using the same or similar language to that in the recording. Use the two examples as a guide to the right level of detail. Err on the side of too much text and too many slides rather than too little.

Once you’ve completed the PowerPoint and MP4, email the files or send me a dropbox link. Assuming the work is acceptable, we’ll have a Skype chat and be ready to go forward. When you’ve completed the trial and you’re happy with the results, send me a link to dropbox or some other sharing service where I can view the video and slides.

I’m happy to pay $5/hour for the time it takes you to complete the trial. Remember turnaround time is important to me and this is a project which needs to be completed in a timely and highly accurate fashion.
