iPhone App Developer

Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.

Job Description

We need a developer to implement, test, and deploy an iPhone app starting from a detailed wire frame design. The first version will be simple and on a short time frame.

We plan on building the back-end using Parse.com, so experience with this framework is highly desired. We plan to use all aspects of Parse - data storage, user management and social login, and push notifications, so experience using Parse for all of these is desirable.

We also plan on integrating Crashlytics, TestFlight and the Google Analytics SDK. Experience with at least some of these, or equivalents, is also highly desired.

We plan on using github to manage the source code. Please let us know if you have experience with github (and send along your github username if you have one).

We are trying to get this app live in the App Store by October 2nd, which means we'll want to submit at least 10 days in advance to allow for review time. This is a hard deadline. So, we're looking for someone who can get started immediately and devote most of their time to this project.

We will likely work with an outside designer, but to begin with we'll have you focus on functionality and not worry about making the UI look good. If you have design skills we may consider having you do the design but design skills are not absolutely required (and we will likely use a dedicated designer for subsequent versions even if we use your design for the first version).

We'll designate an initial task that you should be able to implement within the first few days and treat this as an initial trial period. Of course you'll be paid in full for this period, but if we feel that the project is not going well we'll want to be able to terminate the contract and bring on a new developer quickly.

If the first release goes well, there will be opportunities for additional work including an Android version. Android skills would be a big plus, but not absolutely essential.

If you've read this far, please reply with a short summary describing your experience with Parse.com and the other services / tools mentioned above. Also, please let us know when you can start, and how much of your time you can devote to this project.
