Tax Specialist Needed for Online Business


Job Description

To all interested parties,

I am looking for a knowledgeable tax specialist/advisor that specializes in online business, drop-shipping, eCommerce, amazon and taxes.

My business is Canadian based, meaning I am located and residing in Canada. I am operating from my home and selling products online through eCommerce, and through drop-shipping on marketplaces like google and amazon.

I am specifically working with suppliers that are located in the United States and am shipping their products to customers located only in the United States.

Task 1:

Since I am not a US based business, and do not have a physical presence in the U.S., I would like advisement on how to handle all the taxes/sales taxes associated with selling of products in the U.S. Each state in the U.S. has their own forms of sales tax, along with any taxes the U.S. government charges. I would like to know if I am required to register for tax collection in the U.S. and if so, how to register for factors like state registration numbers, etc.

Specifically for Amazon, I would like to know how the collection and calculation of taxes occurs, and what I am responsible for in terms of tax obligations to the United States.

Task 2:

Assistance with tax obligations for sales made inside of Canada-->U.S. suppliers to Canadian customers.
