I am looking for a statistician that specializes in social science research and academic writing of statistical results.
The candidate must be very familiar with using spss to produce and interpret t-tests, chi-squared, multiple regression, and other common social science statistical procedures. The candidate must be familiar with recoding data and creating and analyzing subsets from larger datasets. The candidate must have existing skills with using and interpreting large datasets such as govt databases, census, ipums, GSS, etc. A resume'/vita showing past work of this nature, and a quality writing sample using statistical procedures are both required.
A publication record using statistical procedures is preferred (although not required) qualification. Another preferred but not required qualification would be a statistician that is adept at analyzing change with large, longitudinal datasets.
This is potentially for ongoing employment with an educational nonprofit, and involves several projects that will be discussed in the interview. Thank you.
