Web Developer Needed for Streaming Video Hosting Site
We are a technology services company, and we provide a full range of IT support services to small businesses.
We have a client with several field employees who need the ability to view streamed MP4 and M4V files via iPad and in browser on Mac and PC.
All video content has already been encoded and lives on Amazon S3. We need someone to build a front-end site to link out and serve this content.
The site needs to be able to:
1. Have an authentication wall with easily editable credentialing so that the content can be locked down when an employee moves on.
2. Have a basic menu structure once log-in is accomplished - the employee will log in, click on a category link ('training' or 'safety'), and then see a links page with thumbnails for all the videos for the categories hosted on S3.
3. Work in Safari, Firefox, Chrome (IE would be nice but not a deal-breaker).
4. Integrate into PHP and MySQL.
The structure of the site will be:
Landing Page (authentication screen) and employee logs in>then a menu page with two links for video categories 'safety' and 'training'>then each of those links takes the employee to a page with the videos embedded in a list. The employee will then select the video they want and it will start playing, coming from the Amazon S3 bucket. There also needs to be an admin page so designated admins and add, edit, and delete users.
