Lead Vocal editing engineer
Closed - This job posting has been filled.
I am in the Chicago area and have a stable job and profession. I am looking for someone to help edit/enhance my vocal performance in Logic Pro for my songs for the purpose of being released to the world. This is a tedious process and I am looking for someone who has experience in the area and knows what they are doing specifically for lead vocals.
I would like to hear an example of a bad vocal recording your worked on to make a polished product - basically, that you made sound a lot nicer to the ear, meaning better melody, range, pitch etc. There is no cost to you and your only responsibility is vocal refinement and sending me back the file. You can use Melodyne or any software you want but I need it back into Logic Pro so that it can be analyzed etc and then the final song finished. You do not need to do any final song producing as this is already arranged.
I will test with one song and if happy with your work, plan on doing a new song every 1-2 months for the rest of my existence. You would need to sign off on a contract including guaranteeing that this is tweaked and was edited/refined exclusively by you. It will be sold to only me and you will have no further rights to the music.
If you have background vocals (especially female) that would contrast my lead vocals, this would be ok and we can discuss background stuff further. Of course, you would get credit for your vocal editing in any future success, the album and with each song. The music rights would be owned by me however and you will be paid for only this project and receive no future royalties.
I have a wide variety of tastes but most of the songs range from soft rock to pop, some even with a flair for hard rock, country, dance styles. Each song varies. I have been writing lyrics since I was 10. I am looking to get some original music out there, promote it, get it on itunes etc.
If in the future, I need you to help and be in a show, tour etc, obviously we would discuss fair compensation at that time for any help/performances. I am looking for a long-term vocal editing partner and I am hoping that this "extensive interview process of mine" will help me to chose wisely long-term. So basically, if I make it big, I'd give up my job and make this my full time gig and career. Also I would want to donate portion of my proceeds to charity...
