Event Organizer Role for a local business business networking group.
You do not need to be local (Bay Area California) to perform this function, but you need to have experience at event planning to make sure that things will run smoothly.
You will be paid a fixed price of $100 / event.
This is based on the estimate of 10 hours work @ $10 / hr. per event
You are also expected to be at the event (if you are local)
You will receive a bonus of 20% of profit from event. (e.g. event brings in $1000 profit from tickets, after expenses, you get $200).
Estimate of $300 / event as long as it is profitable, else $100.
Liaise with committee via email / teleconference to define which events should be held
Define yearly calendar of events through liaising with team (approximately 6-10 events per year)
Define event lead from volunteer group
Setup timeline for each event
Find venue (with help from volunteer members)
Check dates, confirm dates
Setup and manage budget for event
Update website with speaker photo, bio.
Create publicity material, email flyer, poster to email, etc.
Publicize the event, on-line, off-line, linked-in, twitter, Facebook.
Monitor event and do more publicity as and when needed
Send out email blasts to members, set up and monitor / send out eventbrite codes.
Make name badges
Update website after event
Make any arrangements needed for catering (varies depending on event)
Make any arrangements needed for photographer etc. (varies depending on event)
Make any arrangements needed for press (varies depending on event)
Setup event (if local), liaise and manage student volunteers
