Design a functional heater based on the information provided and then create a 3D model of the design.
-An anemometer measures wind speed and we want it to signal a chipset to power the heater.
-When air passes through the anemometer’s fan, it must start to spin, which is the signal to power the heater.
-The heater must heat as long as the fan is spinning.
-A thermocouple will stop the heater at 500 degrees.
-The heater must be enclosed.
-Air will pull through the top of the enclosure, pass through insulation to the heater, and then flow out through insulation, and finally through the bottom of the enclosure.
-There must be efficient insulation to keep the outer casing of the unit below 145 degrees Fahrenheit, cool enough to touch. So the outside of the enclosure stays below 145 degrees while the heated air passing out the bottom is about 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
-All materials must be non toxic when heated and produce no vapors or fumes.
-The unit has the max dimensions of 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches (the smaller the better).
3D Model Requirements:
-Technical model with measurements and material specified
-Photo Realistic Model
This product must functionally work! Use of your background knowledge or research for the specific materials needed is a must. Job will not pay if the design or engineering is flawed.
