Editing needed for Psychology Experiment Video (Japanese/English)
Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
This job involves editing/combining an 8 min performance of a collective ritual task and some surrounding textual instructions to make a video which will be used as part of an instructional guide for the ritual which will be used as part of an experimental study in Japan and the UK. There are English/Japanese instructions (which are identical) so two different scripts need to be overlaid.
The editor is not required to understand Japanese (although it would be be helpful) as side by side translations of the English/Japanese material exist so all that will be required is to place the relevant Japanese text into the same location in the video as the matched English text.
We already have an existing mock up of the main sequence to give an idea of what is required but we will need an editor to improve the video by doing the following:
1. Adding the instructional screens
2. Improving the positioning/appearance of the textual instructions/captions.
3. Improving the existing transitions & title intro (this doesn't have to be extreme but just better than the current amateur effort).
4. Adding some simple effects, specifically:
a) Temporarily pausing the video near the beginning while labels appear to identify the various roles.
b) Adding some effect to emphasis instructions about where to look i.e. at a statue's face.
This task is quite urgent and our goal is to have the editing completed within 48 hours.
If you think you have the time, ability and interest to help with this project please contact me.
A copy of the relevant text instructions for the video are attached.
