Job Description

Our organization is a Leading Seafood Wholesaler in New South Wales, Australia. We provide a strong market presence and are known for our expertise in providing excellent customer service. We are looking for a talented Accountant who is able to wear many hats, and maintain control of our company’s financial success.

PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVES:-

Reporting to the Managing Director, your focus will be the proper preparation and production of all financial management reports including weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports performed, and completed within the applicable periods.

Other responsibilities will include the preparation and completion of tasks in relation to key performance indicators, preparation of budgets, forecasting, business activity statements, competitor analysis, and general bookkeeping/office accounting including the implementation of accounting policies.

This position consists of analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within a global organization.

TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES:-

> Participate and advise accounting and executive team in improvement strategies for data processing systems, compensation, employee health care benefits, and long range tax plans.

> Perform financial analysis of key business data such as trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses.

> Prepare tax returns, including computation of taxes due, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other taxation requirements.

> Conduct credit or trade reference checks via phone to credit applicants.

-> Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

> Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

> Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

> Maintain or examine the records of government agencies.

> Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

> Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.

> Report to management regarding the finances of an establishment

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:-

* A four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
* Logic and reason for SWOT analysis.
* Strategic, and innovative problem solving skills.
* Experience with XERO & familiarity with Australian Taxation Requirements.
