Closed - This job posting has been filled and work has been completed.
Hi, I wrote a book in Japanese and it became a best seller in Amazon Japan, programming category.
Now I'm translating it into English and be going to sell on Kindle.
This is the book: http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4774156
I'm looking for an experienced person for those topics:
- What is the best practice to translate, review and publish.
- How to make well-formatted files for Kindle.
- How to manage figures, sample source codes(pre-formatted texts), keyword, index, footnote, etc.
- How to sell on Kindle & KDP
If you have experience in programming, I appreciate it. Please describe your experience.
I hope the translator and me can translate and review with less stress.
"Estimated Duration" and "Estimated Workload" are only provisional.
In this time there are no texts to format yet.
I'm not sure how long it going to take. I have no deadline, so you can work at your own pace.
Please describe your estimation for those.
--- additional information ---
Questions from other applicants make some points clear.
Here are additional information
Source is not Word, it is currently text-based files with some tags such as [red]xxxxx[/red].
It is because the publisher of the original book ask me to use it,
however it is not popular format. So I think there are some other better format.
HTML is one of popular text-based format. It may be possible to write HTML directly,
however it is not good for footnote, column and indexing.
I feel re-flow is better for poor environment. However, I'm afraid figure or source code and corresponding can be separated. In that case readers have to move pages again and again. It causes bad experiences. Can I hyperlink each other? Or are there any other good solutions?
It is a book for engineer. It contains source codes and figures, not not many photos.
It is OK to choose fixed-rate. I just didn't know which is better.
My book is about 250 pages as paper.
I didn't think about promotion, but I should.
Thank you for reading my posting!
