We're looking to tweak the look of our popular paint by number program, SegPlayMobile (available on IOS and now Android). The work will primarily involve a re-skin for the Android version. The IOS version will be changed at a later time., and other mobile versions will adapt this new design.
We'd like to give it a more polished/updated/stylistic/artistic
The app has several painting modes (normal, hint, scored, instant, creative) to give it some variation and also entice users to buy additional content, which also unlocks all of the modes.
There are also banner ads on the screens (top and bottom) that get removed once the product is unlocked.
The app has about about 10 screens and each one will need some work (including landscape and portrait layouts). Because Android has numerous screen sizes, there needs to be some strategy on how to best support them.
In general the work will involve layout, icon design, color choices, navigation, and the addition/replacement of any new graphic elements to improve the design. Buttons in the interface will need multiple states (normal, over, enabled, disabled)
There are plans to translate the app into different languages. This implies that the text in the interface will be read from translated files and rendered at run time. This might imply additional reserved space in the interface for translations of items.
The painting screen likely needs the most work. The buttons are too small and some have requested that the color palette always be available (not sure if there is screen space available).
There will be a new dialog/screen to select language (this is changeable at runtime).
The pattern information dialog/screen needs some layout work.
There will probably be a few more options for the options page.
There will be an additional game mode (from 5 to 6)
We'd like to improve the look of the game, but generally keep the flow of the game from screen to screen the same (without much coding rewrite). The navigation icons in the program need some work to make them clearer and consistent.
There are a few art pieces that may not be apparent when first using the app. In the scored game mode, there is a clock, score, "times up" graphic, and floating numbers that appear when pieces are painted.
In a few months, we'll be looking to fully expand the feature set of the mobile game into a more complete desktop program (as a replacement to our SegPlayPC program (screenshots here: http://www.segmation.com/support_k

I will provide existing Photoshop files. Deliverables include artwork for all screens (both landscape and portrait orientations in various sizes/aspect) in a layered Photoshop format. We are familiar with extracting art from a layered Photoshop file, so individual bitmaps are not necessarily required.
This portion of the project does not require any programming, just design.
Although not time critical, we'd like to complete this work within 3 weeks of acceptance.
It would be great for serious applicants could load the game (SegPlayMobile) on either IOS or Android devices, and take it for a test ride. Ideas for improvements, sketches, or other feedback would help us figure out the best candidate for this project.
Please provide samples of previous mobile games
