Maternity cover: Operations Executive

We are looking for a very fast learning, organised, competent operations manage to work daily to support our rapidly growing business. Our current operations manager is going on maternity leave for a few months and we need someone to support us while she is away.
Working for an established online and wholesale fitness company (www.blonyx.com) based in Vancouver, Canada, you will be a key employee responsible for the management of company operations. You must have lots of initiative, be highly organized and be able to problem solve.
Duties will include:
-Management of the web site (uploading information, editing web pages and generating content)
-Manage orders and inventory using the online system
-Liaising with the warehouse and with customers to iron out ordering issues and requests
-Working with the designer and programmer to make web site and marketing material adjustments
-Working with the designer to build marketing materials
-Working with sales managers and social media managers to support them and set up sample orders
-Be responsible for our affiliate system, monitoring commission statements and reports
-Remote management of sponsored events and sales events (with other staff)
Ideally you will have the following skills:
-Great admin skills and attention to detail
-The ability to use online apps and programs - and learn to use new ones quickly
-Customer service experience (online and on the phone)
-Online research experience
-Marketing experience (such as getting posters designed, setting up events, writing blog articles etc.
-Experience using: Shopify (or other ecommerce platform), Stitch Labs (or other inventory management system), affiliate marketing software, Accounting software like Xero or QUickbooks (at the basic level - e.g. downloading invoices)
This position is ideal for someone who likes to take on a lot of responsibility and develop their skills. You must have a lot of initiative and not shy of adding ideas and opinions into your work. Someone who is interested in learning about marketing, social media, business management and being an entrepreneur would be idea. If any of the above scares you then you probably aren't suitable. If the challenge excites you, then this will be perfect.
