I have several audios and videos in English that I would like to have transcribed.
English should be your native language, or you should be able to produce virtually error-free texts with excellent grammar and punctuation. I will decline your application if I see errors in your cover letter, so please consider your application as a pre-test. You must have positive feedback, previous experience in transcription and you must be committed to the work you accept. You don't need to attach any sample transcripton that you have done, since you will have to work on the test anyway.
On a general basis, I expect a 12-hour turnaround for 30 minutes of audio. My budget at this time is of $10 per transcribed audio hour.
You will be required to work on a 4-minute test first, and if your work meets the expectations you will become part of a team and receive regular work.
1. You must be serious and comply with the agreed TAT. Otherwise I will not pay the full agreed amount.
2. You must proofread your work and send a perfect transcript with no spelling or grammatical mistakes. You must leave out false starts, correct sloppy grammar and omit verbal stutters (uhm...) or repetitive unnecessary words (like, okay, etc) unless I specify otherwise.
3. You must leave a timestamp whenever you can't understand something and sometimes on other occasions. This will be specified in each case.
4. You must deliver your work as Microsoft Word document following a template that I will send to you.
Please start your cover letter with today's date so that I see that you have read the whole offer.
