We are a London based marketing agency with 25 full-time staff and growing. We are looking to hire a bookkeeping assistant to support our finance team with invoice entry into our accounting system, Xero.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, and good understanding of accounting.
The job would entail managing a mailbox to which purchase invoices are received. These invoices must then be entered into Xero, before being filed within the relevant subfolder of the mailbox (by supplier).
All invoices entered into the system will be approved by our in-house finance team.
This role would be performed on a one month trial, although we are looking for a long-term solution. There is also scope for additional bookkeeping tasks to be outsourced. These include:
- Reconciling bank transactions to invoices within Xero
- Preparing payment runs for approval
We expect the invoice entry to take 2-4 hours each month. The process is straightforward, and detailed instructions will be provided.
- Bookkeeping experience, specifically purchase ledger
- Good English skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Experience using online accounting software
- Experience using Xero
