Our writing style and voice

Here are a few suggestions you can use to develop your own voice and style for your blog.
1. Our site design and blogs are an interesting, readable writing style.
2. Remember that a blog is a conversation. Try to write the way you speak. Avoid jargon and clichés and don't overuse the thesaurus.
3. It may be helpful to speak your article out loud before trying to type it or to read it aloud after you've written it.
a. If you find yourself struggling as you read aloud or speaking unnaturally, think about what you might have said if you were talking to a friend rather than writing.
b. Write your blog with a specific friend or family member in mind. Thinking of someone you know well and who might want to read your blog will help you relax your writing style.
c. Think as if you are answering a question that your friend has in this article
4. Always consider your audience.
5. Before you start blogging, spend some time visiting other blogs that are like the one you're thinking of starting.
6. Before you start:
a. What is your Keyword?
b. Take your keyword to Google keyword tool make sure it is on Exact setting and not broad, place the keyword in the “Find keywords, Based on one or more of the following:” search box
c. Get the top 3-5 relevant search results … these will be your tags in your articles they need to be bolded when used in the article and taken in consideration when writing
7. Articles must be 600+ words
8. Title
a. I believe one of the most important things on a new post is a having a powerful title.
i. Having a good title will attract more readers to the post, a bad title will keep people from ever seeing the great post you wrote.
b. When I write a blog post, I spend a lot of time on what my title should be. Here are things you want in your title…
i. Place your keywords in the title, preferably the front.
ii. Make sure your title matches what the content is about.
iii. Keep it to 5-10 words long.
iv. Think of creative ways to say the simple things.
v. Knowing the power a great title has, spend a good amount of time on it, write it down see how it looks and read it out loud see how it sounds.

9. Body
a. What is the goal? Look at your Main keyword and Main tags
b. When you write a post, you will want to decide what the goal of your new blog post. Posts will be written for a keyword
c. Once you know the goal for your new post, it will be easier to lay it out and write.
d. Make your keyword start the first sentence
e. Make sure that your first paragraph is engaging and make the audience keep reading
f. Following the first paragraph you need to have a compelling headline that includes the main keyword and is interesting enough for readers to continue reading
g. After that the composition is up to you
h. Now it is time to write, this is where you just let go of any hang-ups or how you want to say this or that.. Just Write!
i. You already know your topic, title and your goal. Now it is just about you getting what you want to say on paper or screen haha bring say what you want to say, say it with personality and be done.
j. Asking questions or asking your readers for their input or opinion on your new blog post is the best way to get your readers to engage with you.

10. Ending the article
a. Start a closing headline that includes the keyword
b. Summarize the article in and ask to contact us if they have any further suggestions…
11. Posting the article
a. Goto to the site you are writing for
b. Click on contact and look for submit article and fill in the fields
c. Then press submit
